Design your own sustainable reins
Welcome to Design It, where you can let you imagination run free to create a truly unique pair of reins!
Tap through the different options to build your reins. In the following is a walk-through of each step:
1. The first thing to do is choose which model you'd like. The reins are available in 4 models (click on the names to read more):
Flat reins: Flat rope reins with a width of approx. 15 mm.
Round reins: Round rope reins with a diameter of approx. 10 mm.
Luxe reins: Flat rope reins with a width of 11 mm and a height of 3 mm; like a classic leather rein in the dimensions.
2. Now it's time to choose colours. You can choose between the following:
Flat reins: Checkers, Black, Navy, Neon Green, Neon Orange, Red and Beige.
Runde tøjler: Checkers, Black, Navy, Neon Green, Neon Orange, Red, Beige, Tartan Beige, Pink Mix, Pink, Denim Blue, Yellow og Dark Maroon.
Luxe reins: Black, Dark Maroon and Sky Blue.
Then you have to decide whether the label should be black or white, or if we should choose for you.
3. Now for the more practical: time to decide the length of your reins.
The standard sizes range from x-mini to xx-full and the measurements are:
X-mini = 1,8 meters
Mini = 2 meters
Shet = 2,2 meters
Pony = 2,4 meters
Cob = 2,6 meters
Full = 2,8 meters
X-full = 3 meters
Xx-full = 3,2 meters
Length is measured from end to end including snap hooks.
Sizes generally fit the lengths of classic leather and rubber reins. However, since all brands are different, it is recommended to measure a pair of reins you already have and choose the closest size — then you're sure to get the right size.

4. You can also add braiding or whipping to your reins to make it a little extra or to add colours!
Braiding and whipping are made on top of the splice by the snaps.
Braiding can be made in 1 or 2 colours, and whipping can be made in 1-3 colours.
It can be made in the following colours: Black, checkers, grey, white, navy, dark maroon, olive, beige, sky blue, red, neon orange, yellow, neon green, pink, arctic, chique, and unicorn, and in just the combination you want!
NB: the rope that chique, unicorn and arctic are made from is a little thinner than the rest of the colours, and will look a little different.
5. Lastly, you can add some extra details on your reins, the so-called "diamond knots", to make it even more special!
You can add 1-6 diamond knots on each side.
The knots are made in pairs, i.e. if you choose "+1", there'll be made a pair, which is one knot on each side. If you choose "+6" there'll be 6 knots on each side, and so on.
The knots can be placed wherever you'd like, if you choose "adjustable" OR you can choose to have then sewn on, so they function as stoppers. if you choose this, the knots will be evenly spaced along each rein. See the picture for placement of the knots.
The knots are available in the following colours: Black, checkers, grey, white, navy, dark maroon, olive, beige, sky blue, red, neon orange, yellow, neon green, pink, arctic, chique and unicorn.
NB: the rope that chique, unicorn and arctic are made from is a little thinner than the rest of the colours. Therefore, knots made with these 3 colours will be a bit smaller.
