Design your own sustainable neck rope
Welcome to Design It, where you can let you imagination run free to create a truly unique pair of reins!
Tap through the different options to build your neck rope. In the following is a walk-through of each step:
1. Firstly, choose the size. Sizes range from XXXS to XXXL:
XXXS = 90 cm
XXS = 105 cm
XS = 120 cm
S = 135 cm
M = 150 cm
L = 165 cm
XL = 180 cm
XXL = 195 cm
XXXL = 210 cm
Measure your horse/pony to find the right size. You can see how to do this in the size guide.
2. Then choose the type og rope and the colour of the neck rope.
14 mm is relatively thick, the same rope as the "normal" leads are made of. It's available in the colours Black, Olive, Dark Maroon and Navy.
10 mm is thinner and used for the other slim models and round reins. It's available in two types, normal and smooth, the latter being smoother and more slippery.
The normal rope is available in the colours: Checkers, Black, Navy, Red, Neon Orange, Neon Green and Beige.
The smooth rope is available in the colours: Tartan Beige, Pink Mix, Pink, Yellow, Dark Maroon, Pink and Denim Blue.
3. Then choose between the two models: with ring or with tassel (click the names to read more):
Neck rope with ring: This neck rope is spliced onto a 25 or 30 mm ring, making it possible to attach a lead rope and use the neck rope from the ground as well, e.g. for lunging or groundwork. And it can of course stille be used when riding!
If you choose neck rope with ring, you'll have to choose a colour for the ring as well. 25 mm rings, which are the ones spliced onto the 10 mm rope, are available in silver, pink and turquoise. 30 mm rings, which are spliced onto 14 mm rope, is available in silver and rose gold. The coloured rings are colour coated — i.e. the coating might wear of with use.
Neck rope with tassel: This neck rope has its ends in a nice tassel, that has several benefits: it's practical for holding onto from both the back and the ground, it weighs down the neck rope so it stays in place around the neck, and it looks super cute! (Btw; whipping or braiding instead of the knot is chosen in step 4.)
4. You can also add braiding or whipping to your neck rope to make it a little extra or to add colours!
If you chose 'neck rope with ring' in step 1, braiding/whipping is made in top of the splice on either side of the ring.
If you chose ' neck rope with tassel' in step 1, the braiding/whipping is made where the tassel beings instead of the knot.
Braiding can be made in 1 or 2 colours, and whipping can be made in 1-3 colours.
It can be made in the following colours: Black, checkers, grey, white, navy, dark maroon, olive, beige, sky blue, red, neon orange, yellow, neon green, pink, arctic, chique, and unicorn, and in just the combination you want!
NB: the rope that chique, unicorn and arctic are made from is a little thinner than the rest of the colours, and will look a little different.
5. Lastly, you can add some extra details on your neck rope, the so-called "diamond knots", to make it even more special!
You can add 1-4 knots on both sides, which can be moved depending on preferred placement.
The knots are made in pairs, i.e. if you choose "+1", there'll be made a pair, which is one knot on each side. If you choose "+4" there'll be 4 knots on each side, and so on.
The knots can be moved to wherever you'd like then to be, but the order they're made in matters. Check the picture to see where the knots are placed.
The knots are available in the following colours: Black, checkers, grey, white, navy, dark maroon, olive, beige, sky blue, red, neon orange, yellow, neon green, pink, arctic, chique and unicorn.
NB: the rope that chique, unicorn and arctic are made from is a little thinner than the rest of the colours. Therefore, knots made with these 3 colours will be a bit smaller.
