Design your own sustainable rope halter

Welcome to Design It, where you can let you imagination run free to create a truly unique rope halter!

Tap through the different options to build your halter. In the following is a walk-through of each step:

1. First off, choose the size. Standard sizes range from x-mini to xx-full, but you can always get a custom size by writing info@requinerope.dk eller på Instagram. Se også størrelsesguiden.

2. Next, it's time to choose the colour of the halter. First off, choose the type of rope; soft or stiff.

The "soft" rope has a thick core and it's super soft and very flexible.
The "stiff" rope has a thinner core and is stiffer (but not quite as much as "classic stiff" rope) and it retains its shape a little more.

Afterwards you can choose the colour:

The soft rope is available in the following colours: Checkers, Black, Olive, Dark Maroon, Navy, Ocean, Sky Blue, Neon Green, Neon Orange, Red, Candy Cane Pink and Beige. The stiff rope is available in the colours: Black, Denim Blue, Neon Green, Yellow, Neon Orange, Red, Pink and Beige.

You should also choose whether you want a black or white label on the halter, or if you want us to choose.

3. Now it's time to choose a model for the halter. You can read more about each type by clicking the names below:

Rope Halter: A standard rope halter, without rings and with the fiador knot for attaching lead or reins.
Sidepull: Rope halter with rings on the noseband for reins, but without the fiador knot.
Riding Halter: A mix between rope halter and sidepull; a rope halter with rings on the noseband for reins, and a fiador knot for leads.
Crossunder: Rope halter where the throatlatch crosses under the jaw and goes through the noseband; where the reins attach.

Afterwards you choose the colour of the rings, if you chose sidepull, riding halter or crossunder. "Silver" are normal stainless steel rings. "Pink" and "turquoise" are stainless steel rings with colour coating — i.e the colour might wear off with use. All types of rings are the exact same size and width, only the colour varies.

4. Now it's time to choose details and really make the halter unique!

First you choose whether you want the details to be braiding or padding, and if you want a browband.

Afterwards you choose the placement (noseband, neck strap, ends) and which design/type it should be.

Braiding is made in two designs. Padding is made from one of 3 kinds of rope; the thick padding makes the noseband softer, while the thin padding makes it a bit stiffer.

Lastly, you choose the colour(s).

Braiding is available in the following colours: Black, checkers, grey, white, navy, dark maroon, olive, beige, sky blue, red, neon orange, yellow, neon green, pink, arctic, chique og unicorn. (NB: chique, unicorn and arctic are thinner than the rest, and braiding with these looks a little different.)

Padding is available in the following colours:
Thick: Black, Checkers, Navy, Neon Green, Neon Orange, Red or Beige.
Thin: Black, Dark Maroon or Sky Blue.
Smooth: Tartan Beige, Pink Mix, Pink, Denim Blue, Yellow or Dark Maroon.

Browbands are made in the same size as the halter:
X-mini: 32 cm
Mini: 34 cm
Shet: 36 cm
Pony: 38 cm
Cob: 40 cm
Full: 42 cm
X-full: 44 cm
Xx-full: 46 cm

5. You can add some extra cute details to your rope halter, the so-called "diamond knots".

The knots are tied on the cheek pieces of the rope halter. You can add 1-4 diamond knots on each side.

The knots are made in pairs, meaning "1 set" is 1 knot on each side etc. The knots are moveable, så the placement is up to you, but if you want more than one pair, the order matters. See the picture for numbers and placements of the knots.

The knot by fiador is tied obove the fiador knot (not available for crossunder). It can be moved to adjust the size of the noseband.

Knot can be made in the same colours as braiding.

6. If you didn't choose braided or padded ends, you can have them whipped or spliced.

Spliced ends is when one rope end is spliced into the other. In this way, the ends are collected to one piece of rope on the last approx. 5 cm.

Whipped ends is when thin rope is wrapped around the ends, and can be made in 1-3 colours.

Loose ends is when the rope halter's ends are burned, but not collected in any way. This is standard, and the halter is made with loose ends, if you do not choose anything else. (free)
