Sustainable crossunder

On the crossunder rope halter, two straps go under the head of the horse, cross under the jaw and go out through the rings on the noseband where the reins are attached.
In this way, the pressure from the rein is distributed more to the underside of the head, and less over the nose, compared to e.g. a sideull. This makes it ideal for horses that are more sensitive to pressure on the nosebridge.

The noseband on this halter is adjustable, and is therefore the most similar to a (bitless) bridle of all the rope halters we have!

 

Crossunders from Requine Rope is made from high quality rope which — of course — is 100% recycled.

 

There are two types of rope: soft and stiff.

The soft rope has a thick core and the cover is 16 strand braided. That makes the rope very soft and flexible.
The stiff rope has a thinner core and the cover is 32 strand braided. That makes the rope stiffer (but not very stiff!) and it holds its shape better.

The stiff rope is available in the following colours: Black, Denim Blue, Neon Green, Yellow, Neon Orange, Red, Pink and Beige.
