Rope tack is typically made from rope that is made from PP, PET etc., which are different types of plastic. That means new plastic is produced when they are made - and we can probably agree that we have enough plastic already...<\/p>

All rope at Requine Rope is made from 100% rPET, I.E. recycled plastic. The plastic comes from recycled plastic bottles coming from Europe, where the rope is also produced. All of this ensures that no new plastic is brought into the world when we make tack, but also that the carbon emissions are reduced. It requires much less energy to produce rope from plastic that already exists, that to produce it from scratch.<\/p>

The sewing thread used to reinforce e.g. splices are also made from 100% recycled plastic. It has finally been possible for to get recycled labels as well. That means all products, except from those containing metal parts, are now 100% recycled! Probably no other rope tack on the market can say that ;)<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

All hardware from Requine Rope is made from stainless steel, or colour coated steel. That has several benefits!<\/p>

First and foremost, steel is a metal that is very easy to recycle, and the process is relatively low-energy consuming.<\/p>

In addition to that, stainless steel is a very strong metal that doesn't snap easily. So you don't need to worry about breaking snaps when you're in the middle of a hack or walking your dog.<\/p>

Last but not least, stainless steel is allergy friendly to both you, your horse and dog, opposite other cheap metals that are often used for rope tack. Oh yeah \u2014 it also doesn't rust or patinate, but keeps its shiny surface years after years!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The packaging at Requine Rope is 100% plasticfree and recyclable-<\/p>

The cardboard boxes for shipping are made from recycled cardboard or is direct reuse from my and family's online shopping. The boxes are closed with paper tape, and both package fillers and package slips are made from 100% recycled paper. The stickers are made from 30% recycled paper.<\/p>

Every order comes with a little bag of snacks for the horse. The treats are packed in food grade paper bags, and the strings is made from paper as well.
The treats consist of 100% hay. They are therefore free from molasses, dust, and fungal spores, and are low in sugar.\u00a0<\/p>

Packaging free from single use plastic isn't only good for the environment, but also makes it easier for you to take care of the planet; the packaging goes straight to the recycle bin (that is, if you don't plan on re-using it yourself)! Sort the box as cardboard and the rest as paper when discarding, to give the packaging a chance to be recycled once more.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
